Q : I am a CDL driver looking for a job. Is
there a cost for your service?
A : No. JobForDrivers.com is a free service to assist you in
finding a truck driving job.
Q : After I fill out an application, what
companies will receive it?
A : You have the ability to specifically select the companies
you would like to send your application to as long as you meet their minimum
requirements.
Q: Why is a Log In and Password required?
A: Several reasons. A Log In / Password is used to ensure that
your personal information is secure. A Log In / Password is also used to allow
you to re-enter your application to edit / update information. You may also
re-enter your application to make it active or inactive (example: if you have
accepted a position and want your app. to be considered "inactive" until
further notice).
Q: If I lose my dial up connection, is all of
the information that I have entered lost?
A: Initially completing the Log In / Password process prompts
the system to save your application information. If your connection is lost,
for any reason, the previously entered information will be saved. You may then
log in and complete your application from where you were when you lost your
connection.
Q: Who will my application be sent to?
A: Your application will only be sent to companies that you
select from a list of companies that you qualify for based on the info provided
in your application.
Q : After I fill out my application, is my
information secure? Who will have access to my information?
A : All of our websites are secure. We take pride in the security of your
information. The only people who will have access to your information now or in
the future are the companies to which you have applied. Your information is
yours and we keep it that way.
Q : How often can I submit my application to
companies?
A : You can log in daily and manually submit your application to as many
companies as you like; however, JobForDrivers only allows you to submit your
application to the same company once every 7 days.
Q : How can I be sure that my application was
successfully sent to the companies I selected?
A : You can check the status of your application by logging in to your account
and selecting 'Review Sent Applications' on your account screen.
Q : When I check my application history, there is a note that says, "Pending
Review By Staff." What does this mean? Did my application go through
successfully?
A : The "Pending Review By Staff" is a note that for lack of a better phrase is
used to let you know that your submission was successful, however it has not
yet gone out to that particular company. The longest your application might
pend will be three days.

Q : I am a new user filling out the application and it
keeps asking me to fill in my username and password before I can continue? I
don't have a username or a password? Do I just make one up?
A : Yes. When you fill out an application with JobForDrivers you are
creating your account. Choosing a username and password allows you the freedom
to come back at any time to update your application information, review your
application history, and perform new job searches.
Q : I am trying to login, but nothing is happening. The page just
keeps reloading every time I hit the button to login?
A : More than likely you will need to adjust the security settings on your
internet browser. You can do this in most browsers by selecting "tools" from
your window bar and clicking "internet options" to open a tabbed window. Click
on the "privacy" tab and adjust the slider to medium level.
Q : I completed the application and have submitted it to several
companies, but when I went back to review my application, I realize I made a
mistake. How can I send a corrected copy to each company I've already been sent
to?
A : Please email driverrelations@jobfordrivers.com notating the correction that
was made and when you made it. Please include your full name. Driver Relations
will email each company a personal note detailing the problem with an updated
copy of the application.
Q : I have previous driving experience, but I've been off the road for more
than a year. Will I be able to find a job?
A : More than likely. Most recruiters like to see experience within the last 6
months, but as long as you express a willingness to undergo training, or if
necessary, schooling it shouldn't be a problem. You can place a special
notation on your application by including it in the "reason for leaving" box at
the end of either your first your second past employer. Keep it simple, for
example: "I have been off the road for more than a year due to a family
illness. I will be willing to do whatever it takes to get back on the road."
Q : I am a recent graduate, and every company I seem to contact wants
experience. How am I supposed to even get experience if every company requires
it?
A : You will need to fill out an JobForDrivers.com application under the
category of "student/recent graduate". By doing this, you will be sent to
companies that can hire recent school graduates.
Q : I want to become a truck driver. Where do I start?
A : Go to a good school! Find an accredited CDL institution or a company
willing to put you through training. Vocational schools and community colleges
usually offer some sort of CDL training course, so look for those types of
institutions in your area. Perform a search on our site for companies hiring
for "students/recent graduates" from your state and make a few phone calls or
write an email stating that you are interested in attending training and wanted
to know if that particular company offered a program.
Q : I want to become an owner operator, but have no idea where to get started?
I know I don't want to do a lease purchase program.
A : I have read several good articles about becoming an owner operator at some
of the industry's magazine websites. Go to www.rpmfortruckers.com,
www.bigrigowner.com, and www.drivingforcemag.com and search through their
archived articles. There are also several books out on the subject of owner
operators, I believe some of which are recommended in the aforementioned
articles.
Q : I need help figuring out how to fill out this application!

throughout the application. If those do not help you, then click on the
livehelp button to speak with a customer service representative. Or, you
